This Pampas Grass wedding near Denver, CO has given me so many ideas! I had never heard of Pampas Grass until I captured Cora and Kendall’s wedding at The Lyon’s Farmette. Lace and Lilies did a wonderful job and has once again, proved to be inspirational. Check out my interview with these amazing florists below.
The Lace and Lilies team said, “Pampas Grass started to sneak into our lives in 2017, we were seeing little touches of it used in bridal bouquets to add texture and movement. Slowly it started to make appearances throughout the ceremony and reception florals too! Pampas Grass has become more popular and florists are always trying to find new and innovative ways to design with it. We’re thinking in 2019 and 2020 you will start to see ‘clouds’ of Pampas Grass suspended from venue ceilings, giving the room an etherial esthetic!” I can’t wait to see that!!
“Here in Colorado, florists can use texture to our advantage as it compliments our beautiful scenery. Pampas Grass adds so much texture and movement in a soft and airy way. This can be a great way to achieve a romantic look or give a bohemian feel to any wedding day,” Lace and Lilies said about the popular grass.
I asked the Lace and Lilies team what 2019/2020 couples can expect the popular grass to run them. Is it about the same price as other florals? “We get our Pampas Grass from here in Colorado. It can also be sourced from California as well. Just like any trendy bloom we have seen an increase in price point over the last couple of years. If everyone wants to get their hands on it, price will always increase with the demand.”
Now let’s begin the day like always, with getting ready…
Okay, get ready to drool over these details! This was my first ever completely outdoor dinner reception. No tent! (Although, they did have one for a backup in case of rain.) I’m obsessed! Please, I’d love ALL the outdoor receptions like this. So beautiful. Sara from Root and Gather was the planner, and always does an excellent job.
Party time!!
