Their Rocky Mountain National Park Wedding was perfect! Rocky Mountain National Park has 415 square miles of forest, lakes, animals and hiking trails. The park has big-horned sheep, mule deer, yellow-bellied marmots, moose, even mountain lions and black bear. (Although sightings are rare.) RMNP is located about an hour and a half away from Denver. A good chunk of the park is closed in the winter because conditions can get pretty brutal up there at 14,255 ft. in some areas. It is the most picturesque backdrop of Colorado I’ve ever seen. I was so excited when Desire asked me to photograph their intimate ceremony there. She was such a sweet, gorgeous bride!
I was grinning from ear to ear while editing these. Desire and Jared made each other laugh throughout the whole day. They are so adorable together! Desire is a Texas girl, but now lives in Kentucky. That’s where she met Jared.
It was a small, intimate ceremony. Just Desire, Jared, Jason (officiant/brother) and me! So the only thing on the agenda after the “I-do’s” were photos. A photographers dream! They chose to say the I-do’s at Lilly Lake. There is a beautiful little dock that overlooks the lake and mountains. After the ceremony it started to snow! We scurried back to the car and drove all over the park to shoot at some gorgeous locations. Enjoy!
