The Barn At Evergreen Memorial Park – Alyssa + Matt

May 8, 2018

The Barn At Evergreen Memorial Park is one of my all-time favorite venues. The stained glass windows, the dark wood, and open, three-story barn are perfect for an indoor, rustic wedding. Alyssa and Matt got married in the spring. They had an idea that it might rain—and it did! But that’s okay. I love rain. I’m not kidding you, I LOVE rain for photos. If you don’t believe me look at this wedding! That dark blue sky was optimal. There’s even an awning under the barn that you can take photos under while it’s raining. The Barn At Evergreen Memorial Park is the perfect place to get married in any season, or any weather.

All florals and also the day-day-of-coordinator was Laura from Blush & Bay who I (thankfully) got to work with several times last year. She’s awesome!

Spring time is a great season to get married in Colorado. The grass and trees are SO green. We normally don’t get greens like that in Colorado—it’s so dry here! The Barn At Evergreen Memorial Park has buffalo and yaks running around, too. The barn is only about 40 min. from Denver. It’s a great venue for out of town guests to get a feel for what Colorado is all about.

Alyssa and Matt got ready at separate Airbnbs nearby. Their ceremony was inside the barn, and during cocktail hour it was flipped into the reception space. We were going to do their first look outside, but we made a last minute change to do it on the top floor of the barn because of the rain and I’m so glad we did. I’m going to start the blog images with one of my favorite first looks! Enjoy!

Alyssa’s sister said something funny. 🙂My second shooter got the birds eye view while I walked backwards in the aisle and followed the couple. Those just married feels. The upstairs and downstairs of the barn was set for guests. the barn at evergreen memorial park, barn at evergreen, colorado barn, barns in colorado, evergreen barn, rustic colorado wedding, colorado wedding photographer, denver wedding photographer, colorado spring weddingCheers!the barn at evergreen memorial park, barn at evergreen, colorado barn, barns in colorado, evergreen barn, rustic colorado wedding, colorado wedding photographer, denver wedding photographer, colorado spring weddingthe barn at evergreen memorial park, barn at evergreen, colorado barn, barns in colorado, evergreen barn, rustic colorado wedding, colorado wedding photographer, denver wedding photographer, colorado spring weddingI’m so glad they let me take them out for portraits several times! Alyssa and Matt wanted me to get one last photo of them at night in front of the barn I achieved this with my Ice Light. It’s perfect for night shots when you want the ambient light to come through. the barn at evergreen memorial park, barn at evergreen, colorado barn, barns in colorado, evergreen barn, rustic colorado wedding, colorado wedding photographer, denver wedding photographer, colorado spring wedding
