  • Red Barn Wedding – Paris + Matt

One thing is clear. This Red Barn Wedding was fun because this couple is really fun! Paris and Matt were wed at The Red Barn at Meadows at Marshdale in September. There were elk walking around while they were getting ready. The sun was shinning all day even though it hadn’t–for weeks. It was a perfect day for a perfect couple. Paris and Matt are animal lovers. They are extremely

Steamboat Springs Wedding – Bri + Jeff

This Steamboat Springs wedding was to die for. Never did I expect to see fall colors on Labor Day weekend in Colorado! What do I know? The Four Points in Steamboat Springs, Colorado is a very special venue. You can only get to it by gondola unless you want to drive straight up the mountain. And once you’re there, the view—oh WOW! Steamboat Springs is my favorite town in Colorado.

Barn At Evergreen – Ellen + Mike

I met Ellen and Mike 4 years ago when I first moved to Colorado. My first impression of these two was that they loved to make each other laugh. Their wedding at The Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park was sunny and beautiful! Ellen and Mike love animals and were very drawn to this venue because of the beautiful barn and the buffalo. The details and color tones were perfect. They had their first look

Spruce Mountain Ranch – Amanda + Cary

Amanda and Cary got married at Spruce Mountain Ranch in Larkspur, CO. It was a stormy day–but still very beautiful with the fog and rain! They were such troopers coming out with me even though it was freezing outside. Spruce Mountain Ranch is a working cattle ranch that also serves as a gorgeous wedding venue. There are mountains in all directions and the modern/rustic feel of the venue is

Hello, I’m Jill! I’m a professional Wedding Photographer in Denver, Colorado and a HUGE animal lover. I specialize in lifestyle wedding and portrait photography. My style looks a lot like documentary photography meets the pages of a magazine. I love capturing the world as I see it. Check out the blog for the most recent photographs of what I’ve been up to in Denver, Golden, Costa Rica…or wherever life takes me.

I grew up in Merritt Island, FL. My mother is an artist and I was always stealing her camera and capturing photos of frogs and colorful bugs. When I was eight-years-old my parents gave me my first camera. And so from a very young age I learned about color, composition and leading lines. I would actually pay my sisters (because they wouldn’t do it for free) to sit for me so I could test different light. I learned how to photograph subjects in a way that was natural and didn’t look forced.

I try not to draw my inspiration from other wedding photos. Rather I pore over the pages of Vogue, GQ and Maxim. My favorite part about wedding photography is how many different types of photography that you get to shoot in one day. Portraits, landscapes, still-life, documentary.

I think documenting life is so important.

And documenting weddings is maybe the most important.

I capture weddings in a way that I would want someone else to capture my own. I am detail obsessed. I know when emotional moments are coming. And I love to deliver beautiful images.

I’d be delighted to sit down and hear about that details of your wedding. Every wedding is different and the amount of images to be captured makes us creatives go wild. Take a look around the site and send me a little note. I can’t wait to hear from you!
