Maggie and Walker celebrated their wedding at Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge, CO. Maggie and Walker live in Birmingham Alabama. They met in college. And Ten Mile Station was their dream wedding venue. All their friends and family were able to celebrate this special day with them on the most perfect summer day in Breckenridge. I loved their maroon florals and details, the cake, and the reception room was amazing! Luckily my second shooter was able to grab all of those gorgeous details while I was busy with family formals and couple’s portraits. Maggie’s family even brought a vintage car to take photos with. (Maggie said it was a tradition in their family to have this at weddings.)
Ten Mile Station is on the top of the mountain in Breckenridge, but luckily, in the summertime you can drive it. Here are some very helpful directions on how to get there because Google Maps won’t take you there. And there are no big signs: Google Doubletree by Hilton in Breckenridge. Your maps will take you there. When you’re on South Park Ave, the Doubletree is on your right. You want to turn into the parking lot that is on your left. There will be a small wood sign that says “Breckenridge Stables” leading into the lot. The parking lot has a big tent in it in the summertime, usually.) Go to the back of the parking lot and there should be a very small Ten Mile Station sign that points right. I believe it’s a dirt road. Take this road all the way to the venue. Past the stables. Drive slow or passengers will get car sick. 🙂
Anyways, hopefully you skipped over that part if you didn’t need it. Okay back to Maggie and Walker’s wedding. Maggie and Walker got ready in separate homes that had amazing views! We did all their separate wedding party photos before the ceremony since they didn’t want to do a first look. Maggie did however do a first look with her dad, and that will make you cry!
The energy at their reception was electric. I love the GIFs of their cake cutting. Everyone danced the night away and took photo booth pics in The Shutter Bus. The bus is a VW van turned into a mobile photo booth. This wedding had so many cool things! I was like a kid in a candy store there were so many things to photograph. Enjoy!
We started the day at an Airbnb about 25 minutes from Ten Mile Station. The neighborhood had a gondola going right through it. How cool is that?? Maggie’s family and friends were so kind and welcoming.
