Denver Backyard Wedding

Ellen and Matt’s Denver Backyard Wedding opened my eyes to hoe beautiful backyard weddings are! I was so impressed from the farm table and tent set up by the pool, to the ceremony location in the backyard. The details were incredible. Their Denver Backyard Wedding was actually in the Highlands Ranch area, at Matt’s parents two-story home.

Ellen found a location by her house for the first look. It was epic! Matt was there waiting for us. I drove with Ellen. Two of her friends helped her doesn’t the rocks to go meet see her soon-to-be husband. It was a perfect little shoot right before their intimate ceremony.

The tent was such a good touch for the dinner table by the pool. It shaded everyone from the harsh sun while they were eating. The catering company did such a great job. They cooked everything right there in the kitchen of the home and the staff was so polite.

Ellen and Matt’s portraits in their backyard are some of my favorites! The sun was setting, everyone was finishing up their dinner. the backyard was as perfect spot for photos with the coy pond and the lush greenery. I especially like the settign sun that was reflecting off the big windows.

We started the day with their first look…Enjoy. Ellen and Matt are adorable. And super photogenic, as you can tell. And off we go back to the house. A joyful, emotional moment right after the wedding while they signed their marriage license. I LOVE these reception details. First dances by the pool…I usually don’t get a chance to photograph food but since I was in the living room while they were cooking in the kitchen I was able to stop them when they had new dishes. Yummm.My favorite photo from the day! You can just tell how much they love each other.
